Because of this wider community of readership, their research articles are more likely to be cited, increasing the authors’ exposure and maximizing the value of their research efforts.
In the same way, international readers benefit not only because the reading material is free, but because it is simple to access through an internet search, not hidden behind commercial websites that require a login and subscription or limited to access through the university library.
